OJB discharged from hospital after kidney transplant



 After a successful Kidney transplant in India, Song writer, singer and producer OJB Jezreel has been discharged.

His story broke millions of hearts across the globe as he struggled to raise a much need $100, 000 for his kidney transplant until Governor Amaechi and scores of other Nigerians intervened with cash donations.

How NTA shut down my show for interviewing a gay man: Funmi Iyanda

Exceptionally brilliant TV talk show host Funmi Iyanda has finally opened up about how Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) shut down her live shows after she interviewed openly gay Nigerian man, Bisi Alimi, on her popular breakfast show, New Dawn, in 2004.

I remember this story pretty well. After Bisi Alimi appeared on that show his life changed forever. He couldn't even return to UNILAG where he was a student at the time. He was forced to go into hiding and eventually relocated abroad.

World Bank ranks Nigeria 122nd best place to start business

The World Bank has ranked Nigeria 147th among the best places for doing business. It also ranked the country as the 122nd for best countries to start a business.

The report released, yesterday, said Nigeria’s low ranking is mainly caused by electricity problems, where the country is ranked 185th out of 189 countries evaluated. The first African country on the list is Rwanda, ranked 32nd.

Jonas Brothers officially break up

The Jonas Brothers have decided to call it quit. Earlier this month, the three brothers cancelled their tour just two days before the first show. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.

Two weeks later, the band broke their silence on twitter to address their fans regarding the sudden cancellation. "Bear with us," Nick, 21, tweeted Oct. 22. Joe, 24, added, "Please hold while we get our s**t together." Oldest brother Kevin, 25, however, stayed silent on his personal Twitter page. The band's official group Twitter page was shutdown earlier that month.
