Surgeons use student's toe to create new finger

A Surgeon in Changsha, in China's Hunan province, has successfully created a new finger for Ha Yuan from his amputated toe.
Hu Yuan lost his left third finger in a childhood accident and has live without it ever since.
But after graduating, and believing he was been discriminated by employers because of his disfigurement, he decided to fix it.
He said: "My classmates all found jobs in the campus job fairs, but I was refused all the time once the employer saw my left hand."
After visiting doctors in Changsha, the surgeon decided to amputate the second toe on Ha's foot, and reattach it to create a fully working finger.
Doctor Lu, one of the surgeon said: "It's not easy to tell the difference if people are not looking at it closely.
"The only difference is the size of the nail."

The doctor said “It will take three months for the finger to function normal”.
