Kim Kardashian Attacked On Twitter For Self-Promotion During Boston Marathon Tragedy

Kim Kardashian tweeted her condolences to victims of the deadly Boston explosions on April 15. However, just 24 minutes later, she tweeted promoting her mom’s new QVC collection, and drew vehement attacks. Was she insensitive?
When Kim Kardashian tweeted to her 17 million followers to watch her mother Kris Jenner on QVC tonight April 15, tweeters immediately attacked her for insensitivity to victims of the terrible explosions during the Boston marathon that left two dead.

Kim Kardashian: Boston Marathon Attack

“Check out @krisjenner on @QVC’s PM Style Show at 7PM EST tonight!” Kim tweeted in the midst of the horrible explosions that occurred in Boston. Quickly thereafter, her followers responded — and they weren’t happy with the reality star.

One tweet read: “America is in the midst of a tragedy right now. F— you.”

Another similarly responded: “WE DNT GIVE A F— RIGHT NOW KIM.”

Shortly after Kim’s tweet, her mom Kris Jenner sadly followed her insensitive lead.

“Dolls! Don’t miss me tonight at 8pm ET on @QVC! I’m debuting my gorg new scoopneck tunic on PM Style!! Join me!” Kris wrote on her Twitter, receiving a backlash just like Kim. However, then she removed it.

Just when we thought that she realized the bad timing, she tweeted again: ”So excited to be on @QVC for PM Style tonight! Take a peek at this new animal print dress from my Kollection!”

While those promotional tweets may have been timed, some still don’t find it acceptable.
One tweet read: “this isn’t the time for self promotion. Please unschedule your tweets.”

Kris Jenner & Kim Kardashian First Sent Out Prayers To Boston

Before tweeting about her mother’s appearance on QVC, Kim did share her sadness for the tragic explosions, writing “My heart is breaking for everyone effected or injured in the explosion at the Boston Marathon. God bless you all! My prayers are with you!”
Her message received over 5,000 retweets.

“My heart and thoughts and prayers go out to all those at the Boston Marathon,” Kris also posted.
