The centre
of a small town in Quebec, Canada, has been destroyed, after a train carrying
tons of crude oil derails and explodes in the early hour of Saturday morning.
The train
was in the town of Lac-Megantic, close to Quebec's border.
Around
1,000 local people were evacuated from their homes as fireballs
shot several metres in the air, flames spread to nearby homes and thick acrid
smoke filled the air.

An Indian journalist
delivered his flood report while sitting on another man shoulder so his feet
don’t get wet. While the man struggling to maintain his balance to support the
weight of the reporter.
The flood in the
northern state of Uttarakhand, India has
claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people. Many lost their homes, belongings.
The journalist defended himself:
“The villager had
allowed him to sit on his shoulders as a sign of appreciation after he gave the
man money for helping him out in his time of need”.
