Bill Clinton Named Father of the Year

Former President of the United States Bill Clinton was honored as Father of the Year at a New York fundraiser on behalf of Save the Children on Tuesday.

Appropriately, his only child, daughter Chelsea Clinton, presented the award, which is given out annually by the National Father's Day Committee.

"Every day he's my dad, and I don't need an award to tell me he's the best that I ever could have hoped for," said Chelsea, 33, according to Parade.

Composer Of Nigeria's National Anthem Pa Benedict Odiase Is Dead!

Pa Benedict Odiase, The composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, has passed on. Mr Odiase died in his sleep last night. He composed "Arise O Compatriots" in May 1978.

He retired as a Deputy Commissioner of Police in 1992 after being the Director of Music with the Nigeria Police Band.

The Guinness World Record holder died of natural causes early Wednesday. He grew up in a Japan fishing village and worked at post offices for 45 years.

Jiroemon Kimura, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest man in recorded history, died early Wednesday of natural causes, Bloomberg News reported. He was 116.

Kimura grew up in a Japan fishing village and worked at post offices for 45 years until his retirement in 1962.

Condom Fashion Show: Wedding dress made out of condoms

One city came up with an attention grabber, a gown made entirely of condoms with a fitted bodice and flowing train.

Shoalhaven City Council in Australia, displayed the gown made of condoms, in an exhibit at the council’s Entertainment Centre, with the aim of creating awareness about condom their use after an increase in rates of chlamydia.

In the past six months, the region has seen an increase of sexually transmitted diseases, with a 75 percent increase in women and 61 percent increase in men. 

The council is trying to solve a real problem and ensure the health of the local community. They want to draw more attention and discussions to the issue of STDs and the importance of safe sex practices.
