Nollywood Producer Says Films With Pornographic Scenes Didn’t Pass Through Censors Board

It all seemed like a joke when sometime last year American-based Nigerian actress, Judith Opara Mazagwu, popularly known as AfroCandy, called for actors and actresses who could fit into nude roles.

This call got mixed reactions from the public but it did not stop the producers of movies like Room 027 and Bold 5 Babes.

Confusion: Covenant University drowned / commited suicide

Ndubuisi Brown, a graduate of Economics and Development Studies, has reportedly commited suicide over the weekend, by hanging himself in his home. Some believe he drowned at Elegushi or Takwa Bay Beach over the weekend.

It is still unclear whether  the 18-year-old, who graduated from Covenant University in Ota, took his own life or drowned. Some sources claim he killed himself over an undisclosed medical issue.

Ex-Gov Of Borno State Mustapha Amin Dies

Elder statesmen and former governor of Borno State, Group Capt. Mustapha Amin (rtd.) is dead. He died on Wednesday morning in Kaduna State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that funeral prayers for the late Amin will hold this afternoon at Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna.

The late Amin was the first governor of Borno State; he served from March 1976 to July 1978 during the military regime of General Olusegun Obasanjo. This was after North-Eastern State was divided into Bauchi, Borno, and Gongola states.

3 women dressed as nuns arrested at airport for drug smuggling

They were definitely not as pious as they looked at first glance.

Police in Colombia have arrested three women who dressed as nuns, who were trying to smuggle cocaine under their religious garb between their legs.

The suspects were detained by customs on Saturday after arriving in the Caribbean island of San Andres.
 
The women were described as looking nervous and police captain Oscar Davila said officials became suspicious about their appearance and the clothes they were wearing.

Artificial Smart Skin as Sensitive as the Real Thing

Scientists have developed an experimental array dubbed smart skin, which has the same touch sensitivity as real human skin. The technology could be used for the development of improved prosthetics and could also help give future robots a better sense of touch.

The array developed by a joint U.S. Chinese team at the Georgia Institute of technology is based on a technique called mechanical agitation. More specifically, the smart skin is equipped with about 8,000 touch-sensitive transistors also known as taxels. When mechanically agitated, the transistors generate a piezoelectric signal, meaning that they emit electricity when under mechanical strain.

Pentagon report says US computer hacking 'appears to be attributable' to Chinese government

In a new report the Pentagon states that it believes the Chinese government was behind some of the hacking attacks in the United States in 2012. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the information comes from a yearly document prepared for Congress entitled "Military and Security Developments Involving the People's Republic of China 2013." It states that numerous computer systems in the US — including those of the US government itself — were hit with attacks, and that some of them "appear to be attributable directly to the Chinese government and military."

China has been blamed for a series of high-profile hacking attacks that came to light in recent months.

Every Pastor Who Collects Tithes Is A Thief

As far as many pastors are concerned, the most important scripture of all is not to be found in the word of Jesus.  Neither is it even in the New Testament. 

That scripture says: “‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.’” (Malachi 3:10).

This scripture is drummed repeatedly into Christians on Sundays.  However, the only time Jesus mentioned tithing in scripture, he pointed out that it was not a weighty matter of the law. (Matthew 23:23).  Hebrews says people only receive tithes “according to the law.”
