Pa Benedict
Odiase, The composer of Nigeria's National Anthem, has passed on. Mr Odiase
died in his sleep last night. He composed "Arise O Compatriots" in
May 1978.
He retired as a
Deputy Commissioner of Police in 1992 after being the Director of Music with
the Nigeria Police Band.
May His Soul Rest In Peace!
