Female Israeli soldiers punished after posting nude photos on the internet

Several female Israeli soldiers were charged after posting nude photos of themselves on the internet, according to a statement released by Israeli military officials.

Now, the Israeli Army said it has punished a group of female soldiers, who posed for pictures wearing sexy lingerie while holding their automatic military weapons, and posting the images to Facebook.

In a statement, the military said this week that the photos were inappropriate for an Israeli soldier. "The commanding officers disciplined all the soldiers involved,” he said.

The statement did not identify the soldiers by name or give any details about the punishment. Military officials said that the military will hold training sessions about the issue in order to make sure that such an incident does not repeat itself.

Several times in recent years, the Israeli Army has disciplined soldiers of what was considered inappropriate postings on social media sites. Some were videos of dancing soldiers in the West Bank.

Israeli men and women are required to serve in the Army, from 18-years-old.
