First Locally Produced Motorcycle in Nigeria

Nigeria recently launched a locally made Motorcycle called “NASENI M1”, which was constructed by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI).

The 80C engine motorcycle was designed and manufactured using local materials by Nigerian engineers at the National Engineering Design Development Institute (NEDDI), Nnewi , Anambra State -one of the nine Research and Development (R&D) institutes supervised by NASENI.

I ask, why invest in the manufacturing of motor cycle while most key state (Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano and others) ban it use?
