Chris Brown turned himself into jail on Monday
afternoon for a hit-and-run case stemming from an accident in May.
The singer had previously pleaded not guilty to the charge, and since he
wasn’t arrested at the scene of the alleged crime in May, he was ordered to
turn himself in by August 6.
In May 21 fender-bender, Brown slammed his
Range Rover into the back of a Mercedes and allegedly did not cough up the
proper insurance documentation and identification for the other motorist.
Stemming from his domestic violence case with Rhianna, Brown's probation was revoked last month by the L.A. District attorney because of the crash.
The next court hearing for the hit-and-run is set for Aug. 15, and he
will also have to show up to court for a separate probation hearing.
