Unbreakable: LG unveils a flexible display screen

LG Display is launching a new era of flexible displays for Smartphone’s with its industry-leading technology.

LG has confirmed it will start selling the flexible screens for Smartphone’s and tablets, and they could be launched as early as next month. 

The cost for the G Flex phone is yet uncertain.

Weird: Man immune to snake poison after subjecting himself to be bitten 100 times

An unemployed American man, Tim Friede "The venom man" claims to have built immune body system to snake venom and injection after subjecting himself to 100 bites from the world's most poisonous snakes.

He released pictures that show him taking and surviving a bite from a water cobra and was so confident he allowed a deadly black mamba to bite him.

The venom from a black mamba would ordinarily kill anyone within 20 minutes but the 45-year-old shows hardly any ill effects and believes the ordeals he is putting himself through will help develop anti-venoms for the third-world.

Ventures Africa Magazine: 2013 Top 10 richest Africa people, Aliko Dangote leading with $20.2 billion

A Nigerian-based financial magazine “Ventures Africa Magazine” has revealed an updated list of the 55 billionaires in Africa.

The combined fortune of Africa’s 55 billionaires is $143.88 billion. The average net worth of the members of this exclusive club is $2.6 billion, while the median age of the richest people in Africa is 65 years. The oldest billionaires are Kenyan industrialist, Manu Chandaria, and Egyptian property tycoon, Mohammed Al-Fayed, both aged 84. The youngest billionaires are Mohammed Dewji of Tanzania and Igho Sanomi, a Nigerian oil trader. They are both 38 years old.

Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt lead the pack with the highest number of billionaires at 20, nine and eight respectively. Algeria, Angola, Zimbabwe and Swaziland only have one billionaire each. In all, there are 10 African countries represented on the list.

Nigeria FG suspends Dana Airline license again

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has suspended the operations of Dana Airline again. The suspension was announced on Sunday night October 6th by the Coordinating General Manager for the aviation parastatals, Mr. Yakubu Dati.

The NCAA said it shut Dana’s operations to enable it conduct an operational audit of the carrier and its planes. This suspension makes it the third time the NCAA would ground Dana Air over safety and other related issues since the crash of Dana flight 992 that killed over 150 passengers in June 2012.

New study: Too much or little sleep can make you ill

It is know that getting little sleep (less than 6hr) can be bad for your health, but a study of more than 50,000 people imply that people who sleep too much (more than 10 hours) or too little sleep are more likely to develop a range of physical and psychological conditions including coronary heart disease, diabetes, mental illness, anxiety and obesity.

Getting the ‘optimum’ amount of sleep each night reduces the risk of developing the diseases and can help those who already suffer with health problems common among the over 45s.

New automotive Policy: Nigeria FG to end Importation of used cars (Tokunbo)

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday approved a new automotive policy aimed at transforming Nigeria's automotive industry.

It also approved N39 billion for the rehabilitation and expansion of some roads in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The approval of a new automotive policy, according to Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, was sequel to the proposal brought to the council by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Olusegun Aganga, seeking  the nod for the policy to transform the Nigerian automotive industry and attract investment  into the sector.

Breaking news: Plane carry 20 passenger Crashes at Lagos Airport this morning

An n Airplane belonging to Associated Airlines crashed at the Lagos Airport as it was obout taking off this morning. According to eye witnesses, the crashed happened at the local wing of the Muritala Muhammad Airport.

It is reported that the plane was carrying a family and the body of former governor of Ondo state Olusegun Agagu to his funeral.

An eye witness said:
"The plane couldn't lift properly so it just came down". "Some persons are being rushed to hospital. A few dead bodies have been recovered, but there are survivors."

Twenty people were said to be on board the Akure-bound flight.

Michael Jackson family lose court case

Jury Finds AEG Live NOT Liable for Michael Jackson Wrong Death Trial Verdict, that the company was not liable for the pop star’s death.

The King of Pop’s mother Katherine sued AEG Live LLC over the hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of the singer’s involuntary manslaughter in 2010.

A jury on Wednesday concluded that AEG Live did hire Dr. Murray, but that he was not incompetent in his care of the pop star.
The singer died of a propofol overdose on June 25, 2009.

A source close to the Jackson said: “The family are naturally devastated by the jury’s verdict.
“They had hoped they would find in the favour and award the family the money they felt they were entitled in compensation.

Video: Pregnant two-year-old boy has parasitic twin removed inside his stomach after surgery

A two-year-old boy from Huaxi, Xiao Feng, was brought to hospital after his stomach had become so swollen that he had begun to suffer breathing difficulties.

Doctors took x-rays and MRI scans and discovered that Feng was carrying the undeveloped foteus of his own twin inside his stomach and they rushed him to surgery.

The removed foetus measured 20 cm in width and had a fully formed spine and limbs, including fingers and toes.

Apple overtakes Coca-Cola, named the world most valuable brand for the first time. Google took second place

Coke, which has become an icon of globalisation and consumer society, has been top of the list every year since it was first published in 2000.

According to a report released today, Apple has overtaken Coca-Cola to become the world's most valuable brand. Google came second in the list compiled by consultancy Interbrand, with Coca-Cola, IBM and Microsoft rounding out the top five.

Man got his penis amputated after Viagra overdose

A Colombian man, 66, who wanted to impress his girlfriend with his sexual prowess, with sweet sensational memory she never will never forget ended up with a bad memory of a lifetime.

According to local newspaper, LaNacion, Gentil Ramírez Polanía took overdose Viagra then suffered an erection for several days. He went to a hospital after complaining about the pain.

Doctors found the 66-year-old farmer’s penis to be inflamed, fractured and showing signs of gangrene.

Lynette Ellis, 39 and her partner Des Lashimba, 41, with no doubt face a public uproar when they appear on Channel 4’s provocative programme Sex Box, in which they have sex shrouded from view in a box in a television studio.

‘Des was terrified he wouldn’t be able to do what was needed,’ Lynette confessed. ‘But I wore some sexy underwear and that seemed to do the trick.’
